INVITATION TO THE MEXICAN CONGRESS OF BIOTECHNOLOGY AND BIOENGINEERING

The Mexican Society of Biotechnology and Bioengineering ( Sociedad Mexicana de Biotecnología y Bioingeniería,A.C ) and the Latin American Biotechnology and Bioengineering Association (ALAByB) are organizing the VIII National Congress of Biotechnology and Bioengineering and IV Latin american Congress of Biotechnology and Bioengineering. The invitation has been made for researchers, professionals, students, and private investors to join the event. Those interested in submiting their work, have until May 7, 1999 to do it. Both events will be held in Huatulco Bay, Oxaca, Mexico on September 11 through September 17. For more information contact:

SUSTAINABLE TECHNOLOGIES INTHE FOOD INDUSTRY

The National Center for Science and Food Technology (CITA) and the Costa Rican Science and Food Technology Association (ASCOTA) are organizing the First Costa Rican Science and Food Technology Congress "Sustainable Technologies in the Food Industry"

This Congress will be held from July 19th through July 21st, with the aim to present and discuss topics on food science and technology with an enphais towards their development in harmony with nature and the environment. Simultaneously to the Congress, an Industrial Fair and some courses will take place.
